Absolutely. In the video, he comments on that . Downfalls can take decades or even centuries of bad decisions.

That is why I doubt there will be a catastrophic fall for decades to come.

The USSR ended in 1991 and the russian federation, while still in a downward spiral, has not fallen yet. If not for the Ukraine was it would likely have continued for a long time.
