I was using Apple Watch since series 3, and upgraded every year or year and a half, now currently using series 7 and refuse to upgrade as there is nothing new. Or at least nothing new to justify the purchase exactly looking watch with the same battery life etc. Really like the look of Ultra however it’s way too big for my wrist I already tried it and it looks hideous. After upgrading to watch OS 10 I’m using the watch less and less. I don’t like the look, widgets and how to navigate it also the control centre and weather, activity, heart charts requiring MUCH more scrolling than ever. I don’t know what to do is it the best to keep waiting for new generation and decide do I want to upgrade? Or try other watches in a meanwhile like garmin, polar, whoop? I do love how it works with iPhone there is the problem mostly using as answering the calls, quick messages, skipping music and regulate the volume, helpful with notifications like camera from the garage.

Thanks for advice, purchasing watch with os 9 is generally really hard as most of the users update them to newer version :( I guess I will just wait and use series 7 will it dies it has many scratches but still working fine just battery is funny. Some days it will be holding charge all day, some of days with sleep tracking and charging before bed at 12 o clock I have 30% left and generally not using watch at all just wearing at the wrist and driving

Not a guarantee, but I believe the new series 8's that are still in boxes would come with watch os 9 as they are boxed even before watch os 10 is released. Can't imagine how the watch will update itself when sitting in the box.

Also, if the battery health of your watch is below 80%, you can either pay Apple for a battery change or use Apple care for it (if you have apple care). They will give you a refurb watch with new battery. Also not a guarantee, but the watch they give you may come with watch os 9.

My battery health is 92% it of course dropped after upgrading to os10. As this summer I’ve had this watch replaced by Apple for like for like. It’s just bug in the system with some watch faces which using so much battery getting information like weather conditions
