i rented my basement out to a friend who also has a gaming setup but the wifi signal is very weak down there. how can i improve the signal down there or better even hardwire his computer without running an ethernet cable all the way down the hall and stairs?

Much better than a weak wifi signal and a solid option if a hardwired ethernet isn't practical.
