As long as it is the Nike version it is allowed. 😂 Nike sponsors the uniforms.

As someone already stated, the physical safety of having a hard object on your wrist could be dangerous. Another reason is that there are rules and laws set around communication between players and coaches on the field and off, and what can and can’t be done with regards to gathering information about the other team and outside perspectives. AW could potentially breach these I guess.

College has strict rules with who can get a headset and talk to players/coaches. You can read texts on the field.

Oh! It’s also especially bad to wear a smartwatch as it could be a means of communication between coaches/players. I recently learned from Josh Dobbs joining the Vikings right before their next game that the coaches headset to the in-helmet mic gets cut off with like 15-ish seconds left on the play clock
