Ethernet or coaxial across high foot traffic floor (alien.top)

I want to run a cable across my living room floor but am unsure if a coaxial or flat ethernet cable would be best for being stepped on. I would be using a rubber cable protector.

When running a new connection cat 5E/6 cable is far better than coaxial cable. Cost wise, performance wise and logistically it makes sense to go with the Ethernet cable like a modest cat5E cable
