You don't want to keep your phone just out of sentimentality? I have all my phones since iPhone 4S. And your iPhone 7 seems to be in a good condition.

To bad that I lost my first phone - K750i.

    I always dispose my old phones, it is eco friendly and even $50 is worth it as it can go towards a case or whatever.Moreover such an old device is literally a fire hazard...leaving it unsupervised in a drawer is not a great idea.
