Being a parent is awesome but also makes you realise that our main job is keeping our kids safe from unnecessary bullshit. My wife's fam is messed as. We talk to like 4 people out of like 40 close relos. I was chatting to a mate before mine was born, and I said the biggest thing for me is a good parent is no longer the protagonist.
