    Enhancing ability, as in making players play through injuries by masking the pain.

    If you have a legitimate need for pain-relief can you legally play on painkillers?

    Yes, it's been happening for a long time. As an example, let's say a vital player is out injured but needs to "speed up the return date" because of a do-or-die season-making game, and voila those little magic pills and potions can do miracles.
