She’s hardly on her phone like me so I don’t want to get her anything crazy so I was thinking the newest SE. She loves using my phone for pictures/videos/Facetime/etc so I think it’s time to upgrade her. What would you guys recommend for a first time iPhone user?

Get her the 12 or the 13 mini. If she's barely on her phone anyway, she's going to get pissed if she has to eventually learn an entire new setup than the ol' home button iPhone arrangement.
