I’ve got a fingerprint on the side of my new phone.

Will Apple replace this? I’ve got AppleCare - will they charge me?

So I haven’t read all of the comments I read some but is the OP saying that this is a permanent fingerprint that was embedded in the phone from the factory? Sorry if I’m being dense and this is just a joke that I’ve missed.
