The bit that makes this tricky is that it’s all tied to an email ID.

Not as simple as selling some hardware or a game cart - you can’t wipe it as the activation servers won’t recognise it, so it’s ‘stuck’ with an Apple ID that’s probably tied to loads of other stuff.

I just wanted to chip in and say you’re doing an amazing thing!

No matter what the quality or resolution these are going to be so special.

We still watch DVDs on 4k tvs - and that’s something like 480p (or maybe 5 something - I don’t know).

Big love to you 🥰🥰

Depends on what the BT speaker syncs.

The basic BT in my car syncs numbers called so changing the phone will still let you redial the last number that was called through the BT

Side sidebar: terrible ethics. Lied to home camera customers outright, left streams unencrypted then said they had nothing to apologise for.

I now stay clear of their products and tend to go with ugreen.

eSIM is easy for all the carriers that use them (all the main ones). On O2 they still needed to send me a bit of paper with the QR code on or go into store for it - seems crazy!

Vodafone is much easier - and any time you delete the sim (swapping phones etc) they straight away email you a new one and you’re ready to go.

Something to note, you are liable for import duty and VAT when you bring the device back to the UK. If for any reason you forget to fill in that on your paperwork the new box and cable can help remind HMRC as you go through….. if you happen to keep it.

Using family set up is an option - but not a good one.

Personally in this situation I’d be inclined to use two lines on the phone itself and then you’ve got the solid connection throughout.

I don’t think WiFi calling works using the other lines data connection so it might be a case of setting up call divert from your main number when unavailable to the alternative line.

When you’re out of cell coverage for your main line you’d not get SMS messages but iMessage would still work as expected for all numbers.

I’ve been gifted apple/iTunes vouchers before and could only use it by using the store from the location it was bought in.

I’d suggest buying them from the Amazon store of the country they’re in and have the physical card delivered so you know it’ll be all good 👍

Like this dude said.

But long/short

If you are set to share purchases then all of them will be charged to the organisers card.

So, in this case you’ve said that they don’t have a card linked - this is the problem.

Is your partner linked to you as a family member? (Family sharing etc)

Maybe it’s suggesting apps downloaded by them?

Shit I thought I had no friends and get no calls, then this dude comes in with -1 calls!

Yer but my photo of it go soooooo many downvotes - that must count against it too right?

I’ve got a fingerprint on the side of my new phone.

Will Apple replace this? I’ve got AppleCare - will they charge me?
