Saw this on Mastodon and had a laugh. Not sure if it's real, but it's funny.

Wish we had snow here yet. Snow is nice. Cold is nice. It's the dreary just above freezing wet and soggy mess of November I hate most.

I even got nice new Nokian winter tires (studded of course) for my car this year and they're already installed, so I'm basically fully prepped for snow and ice season.

Aw man I hate when I install snow tires too soon. My mechanical sympathy is triggered.

I’m worried that El Niño will put my area on a rain/snow line all winter.

I do too, but weather is super unpredictable in my area. Snow in October and May isn't super common, but it can happen. A dozen years ago, we had random snowfall around the summer solstice. Sometimes half of December is positive temperatures and much of January is mud and rain, not snow. Today might be +8 and the weather service says it will be +5 tomorrow, but that doesn't mean I can't suddenly wake up to -5.
