Cockshott absolutely has brainworms as a byproduct of being an old man from TERF island, that doesn't mean his economic and philosophical analysis are devoid of merit. You won't find a Marxist who provides better explanations and defence of planned economies than Cockshott, and while we should criticise him for his awkward takes on queerness (such as lesbian couples getting paid more than straight couples), we shouldn't throw out all the good bits, as much as we wouldn't simply discard the progress of the USSR because of their backwards social policy at times.
