Its fucking irrelevant because Biden and Harris DID sponsor a genocide. Voters don't fucking vote based on what you decide harm reduction to be. They see two pieces of shit doing a genocide and they say "No.", which is what they did. The concept of "harm reduction" is fucking astrology for lincoln republicans. Voters don't fucking vote that way, if you even accept that Harris was "harm reduction" (She was literally in the seat of power and did nothing, so miss me that Harris or Biden were "harm reduction").

Harm reduction is fucking irrelevant because its not how voters vote. They saw one genocide supporting candidate, rejected them, and the party establishment handed them a second one. That strategy, which depended a, frankly, white supremacist vision of "harm reduction", lost the fucking election.

So no. The only option was to get the candidate to change their position. There was no other path.

How is Trump not a pro genocide candidate? How does this make sense?

Who was President and vice President, and politically immovable while Israel was flattening Gaza with 2000lb bombs?

Like, I'm going to say this, you won't understand it, but it is true, and someday you might. So this is for your future self:

You live in a fiction of your own creation. The version of reality you inhabit is a fantasy.

The reality we have is that Democrats threw a very winnable election to fascists because they couldnt oppose a genocide. You and your fellow apologists are the ones who need to wake up.

No one is denying that. Trump being in power is the fault of both Democrats and non-voters.

But guess which of the two categories has been harmed more by the result? I don’t see Kamala begging on the street because she can’t afford groceries. They never really had anything to lose.

All of mainstream media and half of lemmy is still denying this. Look around this thread.

Which is why I think Biden at least, half his cabinet, and potentially Harris should be arrested for the war crime of funding a genocide

Link me to a single comment in this post saying Harris was awesome and that she did the best she could to win. They’re all saying she was far from perfect, or even from a good candidate, but voting her was still the correct choice.

Ok, cool, no issues with that. Who’s gonna do it when we have other politicians doing that in addition to… literally this article for example, and they’re still governing with no repercussions?

That right-wing/russian/tankie propaganda really did a number to leftist’s critical thinking skills and turned you into single issue (non)voters.

    It’s sad to see.

No it's understanding the very basic mechanics of how elections work, something you can count on those who will reliably caucus with fascists to perpetually misunderstand because white supremacist requires them to not understand.

When leftists fail to have a single viable candidate again and the choices are between Tucker Carlson and Gavin Newsom you guys are going to scream both sides are the same again and throw the election to Tucker.

Your only logical conclusion then, since voters don't vote how you want them to, is to demand a better candidate then Gavin Newsom. Anything other than that is you sponsoring fascism (again), because you know now, that both a) voters aren't going to vote for a Gavin Newsom, and b) voters can't be changed to vote how you think they should be.

You have a path to winning elections and you are choosing to take a path which is demonstrated to lose elections. I see idiots who think voter behavior will some how magically shift to their own personal interpretation of what "strategic" or "harm reduction" is taken to mean, and handing the elections to fascists time and time again by expecting voters to show up for a lessor evil.

Those, because I oppose fascism, are the idiots.

Well if you were genuine in your intent to stop fascism, you would see addressing their single issues as the highest of priorities.

AND THIS is why we do not believe the genuineness of your claim. You don't oppose fascism. Even within your own framework, your are inconsistent, because you aren't looking to stop fascism, you are looking for an excuse not to try.

Voting Harris was the way to oppose fascism and now it’s voting democrat to give them majorities in the house and senate.

Its not a matter of what you think it would do. Voters didn't agree with her supporting a genocide.

If you want different outcomes, YOU have to make different decisions. This is why the entire country has abandoned third-way centrism as anything other than an ideological wet fart: because it inevitably cuckolds its self to tyranny.

Thankfully, when given the choice, voters clearly DO know how to vote in their best interests. But thats the key, they have to be given an option which is genuinely in their interests, where supporting a genocide through taxpayer funding, is not.

But you chose to double down on the genocide with some Trump craziness on top. Why? It was christal clear that Netanyahu would have carte blanche with Trump in power.

  • And its funny because when we do that, Blue Maggots, because they can’t argue with the reality of what voters chose to do, have to pivot to personal attacks.
