Just remembered the brief argument I had with my housemate a while back when I asked them to get cheese at the grocery store and they literally couldn't get it through their head that I wasn't referring to Kraft singles. I’m not even sure it has to be sweet.

I feel like “Chicken” is a cute name for any animal. Even saying it I want to name my next dog “Chicken.”

    Sandwich. Chips. Soup. Bagel. Baguette.

I feel like any food works but maybe I’m crazy.

I wanted to give savory examples too, but I thought they'd be more contentious. Naming a dog Soup sounds more like he used to have a proper name until the soup incident. And meat-related names make me think you plan to eat the pet :(
