Far-right senator and family land in US after crossing from Brazil into Argentina and then flying via Ecuador

A jet carrying the Brazilian far-right senator Flávio Bolsonaro has landed in Miami, Florida, where the losing candidate in Sunday’s presidential election runoff left the airport under police escort without speaking to the press.

The Gulfstream IV, registered as LV-JQW, left Guayaquil in Ecuador earlier in the day.

After losing Sunday’s election to the incumbent president, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, Bolsonaro disappeared for more than 24 hours, until Argentina’s migration authorities said he had entered the country by land on Tuesday night.

There, he boarded the Gulfstream IV. The aircraft had been parked at Puerto Iguazú airport since the early hours of the previous morning, when the first reports emerged in Argentinian media that he intended to flee on it.

Its a soft paywall. Decline the upsell and it’ll give up

If you're in the EU it demands that you either log-in or allow them to track you with cookies.

The few times I actually read the article I just open it in a Private browser window, to in this specific case that stuff is currently being covered extensivelly on TV (I'm in Portugal) so no point in reading that article.

I have used TG for over a decade and I don't get any of that.

Of course I use uBlock Origin a lot to remove unwanted elements, and Behind the Overlay for nag popups

Using uBlock Origin from a normal internet address (so, not behind a VPN) and accessing the main page of The Guardian I immediatelly get a cookie pop-up with only the options "Accept all" and "Reject all and subscribe".

Maybe it depends on the country you're accessing it from? I'm in Portugal though I get the same via VPN with exit points elsewhere in the EU.
