They just have a similar value on life as China has, none, and this isn't something new, this all goes back to Tsar-ist times, but may be getting a bit worse as Russia gets more desperate to fulfill the current strong man in power's wishes.

John McCain described Russia as a Mafia owned Gas Station and when you think of Russia from that perspective everything else kind of starts to make sense.

I get what you mean and am in no way an expert on China or their culture.

Russkie's disdain to human life goes from Herodotus, through the Mongol/Golden Yoke era and straight to modernity.

Renaissance in Europe started about 13xx. Golden Yoke period in Muscovy ended in 1480.

  • I would say I completely agree, but during the Mongols and Huns time causing headaches for Russia they were mostly city-states, rather than an actual nation state yet. So Tsar-ist is as far back as you can really say and have it mean collective Russia as a whole. Gotta remember Kyiv predates all of Russia by a couple of hundred years, Rus the original city-state was a colony of Kyiv.

As far as China goes, I'm no expert either, but their history is full of hundreds of thousands or millions being killed off somehow, usually driven by man's own actions, even now men are dying lonely due to their dumb ass birthing policies. Life is meaningless to them, and women's lives are worth even less.
