Holy gracious smokes...
Such an ineffable sorrow this is even possible in modern days...

Though, no women wants such cases to be published, I believe, thankfully still this article and historical event exists, too, so some people know how cruel and indifferent some case may be, and do better... This attitude is not normal, and must never be considered normal but absolutely terrifying...

    I know what you mean but, sadly, the attitude is actually quite normal. Abhorrent and perverted, particularly considering it is a police force that ought to know and do better, but normal in the sense of common, and that's a large part of the problem. It is truly disgusting.
