You're right, but you can search discord the same way that guy can search his local dump for that hard drive with billions of dollars worth of bitcoin on it.
It is technically possible. The chance of me finding what i want by searching a 15 million comment discord thread labelled #eng-bugs for my very specific issue is close to zero.
It's like how lawyers will bury the opposition in literally every document they can find to make finding what's relevant a needle in the haystack. Except it's not discord being malicious it's just criminal misuse of a platform for what it was never made for.
