It is unclear either way since the information we get is far too tainted with propaganda in both directions.

What's painfully clear and beyond any doubt is that Iran under the control of the US or Israel would be infinitelly worse than under the current government there - for Israel all we have to do is look at Gaza to see how bad it gets, whilst for the US, well, just start with the around 1.2 million Iraqis that died as a consequence of the US invasion (about 140 thousand directly, the rest indirectly), the still ongoing deaths in Libya after the bombing of it and murder of Gaddafi and of course America's support of the Israeli Genocide in Gaza to name just a few of America's recent actions in the Middle East.

By the way, this is the same logic as to why even Saddam's dictatorship in Iraq was better than the American invasion of it - even in the worst stories about his "murderous regime" were ten thousand Kurds were murdered by him, the death-toll is but a small fraction of the death-toll directly cause by America when it invaded and a miniscule fraction of the broader death-toll caused by the consequences of the invasion and overthrowing Iraq's government.

So to be a better option than whatever the Israelis and Americans are trying to force, all the Iranian government needs to be is a little better than the NAZIs in WWII occupied France, which even they are by a giant margin even if one believes the most wild stories about Iran which are direct quotes in the Western Press of US Republican Administration officials known for lying their asses of.

The depravity of American interventions in the Middle East and even more so of the treatment of non-Jews and even non-White Jews in Israeli occupied areas is so extreme that is vastly exceeds even totally unproven claims about the Iranian government's actions straight from the mouths of people who are overtly enemies of Iran as well as being known for their shameless lying.
