The "Great" figures of history weren't great in a colloquial sense. They were considered "great" because they had a large impact on the world, not because they were well loved. So describing Trump as an accidental great man of history is not a compliment, it's merely descriptive of the huge global impact he is having destroying US hegemony.

And if you don't know anything about politics what are you even doing here? I mean it's cute you are claiming to just be getting people to "get out and vote" but if they haven't made their mind up about that by now, why do you imagine your mewling here will make the slightest difference? The Democrats didn't lose last time because of leftists, they lost because they put up a terrible candidate, running on unpopular policies, who was deeply unpopular even within their own voting base. They couldn't even win over their own traditional demographics, and they were running against one of the most terrible candidates in US history.

You are wasting your breath here. Leftists don't need to be educated or encouraged about how to vote, or about the importance or otherwise of voting. We understand this stuff better than you do and we already vote for our preferred candidates. Also not everyone is American. You and your fucked-up country are not the sole focus of my attention on Lemmy and you don't get to badjacket leftists in our own communities just because its election season.

Why don't you stop spraying mouth foam, and instead think about what you intended to do here and what it has actually achieved. Who did you convince? Nobody. What did you change? Nothing.
