I'm glad whoever made this did such a good job censoring out the brand, I might have thought it was subtle advertising otherwise.

Yeah Iโ€™m sure the kids will be flocking to the Wrangler store after seeing that Lemmy post, it was definitely worth their marketing execs developing such a sneaky ad campaign

What's fucked up about this world is that here we are, discussing the brand, using the name, leaving a footprint on a public message board. It is not even remotely unrealistic in this new reality that you could actually be in the employ of the company who manufactures this clothing to engage me with this "sarcastic" response (and you might not even be a real person). That's what the Internet has become: unlimited marketing opportunity where no mention of your identification is worthless and no press is bad press.

Of course, you could also just be a sarcastic human pointing out that you think this is an idiotic comment. This is one of the reasons why it works so effectively. I can't really make a judgment about what is true here and neither can anyone reading it.

All I'm doing is just pointing something out: if they wanted to censor the brand... why didn't they? Because they didn't. They pretended to. Barely. It could just be a sloppy OP, but obviously I don't think so.

Just because not everything is a conspiracy doesn't mean they aren't out to get you.
