One from my dad: in the movie Glory, the final scene where they assault the fort. My dad grew up obsessed with Civil War battles and instantly pointed out that the assault was being made from the wrong direction. He paused the vhs and pointed to the position of the sun and said it was backwards, they had approached from the other cardinal direction in reality.
