Isn't this like 2.3 million barrels? And the us uses 2.9 million barrels per day? My math might be off though

    That's what I thought too, 300.000 tons might sound like a lot but the US (not even including the global markets part of the post) use A LOT of fuel. It's quite literally a drop in the bucket

    I save a Mr Global video and I think he said that 300k tons in October was like 18 minutes of fuel based on usage. And the 500k tons in November was 30 minutes.

    So very much nothing at all. Which is why it was reported in tons and not barrels.

    If your maths is off I don’t think it’s off by much - those figures look roughly correct. Drop in the ocean.

    Yeah, it’s a bit of an exaggeration… but it’s still less than one three hundred and sixty fifth of the annual usage by the population of the country. And we’re not even bringing petrol / gasoline into the equation - as I understand it.

    These numbers start to put fossil fuel usage into perspective.
