You've never met anyone that's been home schooled...

As "worthless" as public education is, it's a thousand times better than 99% home schooled

Honey, I work at a scholarship office. I review academic transcripts for a living. Sure, I'm not meeting them in person, but I've seen more applications than you've met people.

Yes, the religious fundies are problematic, but there's plenty of geniuses whose poor parents had to brush up on their linear algebra and quantum theory. That's not even mentioning the surprising number that end up just taking courses at local colleges and universities and counting them for high school credit. There are homeschoolers in the US far smarter than you. They're just not a majority.

Starting off with "Honey" discounts anything that comes after. I'm glad you live in some magical land where homeschooling works but it ain't 95%of US

It's wild that you're dissing the education of others when you clearly can't read. I work with students across the entire United States, as well as the territories and US citizens living abroad. I'm sorry my first-hand knowledge doesn't match your anecdotal reality, maybe try working directly with hundreds of thousands of students over the course of several years, and then perhaps you'll know something about education in this country.

homeschooling has significantly more variety in quality than public school, and the people for which it went well don't generally advertise it.

Everyone who is homeschooled sticks out like a sore thumb. you can pick them out with about 5-10 minutes of causal conversation.

I find it interesting (but expected) that those defending homeschooling provide zero evidence. I'll break it down for you it is almost absolute that someone not familiar with a subject matter cannot competently teach that subject to someone else. full stop.11 And in little provable facts like more than 50% of homeschoolers are antivaxxers...,

you dead in the water my friend and that 1-2 out of a hundred that beats public ain't going to save you. They ARE some areas in the US where public education is broken, but the answer ISN'T homeschooling that is typical selfish approach. the answer is to fix the school system for everyone, so man up and stop defending selfish assholes.
