Gender relations are a complex and nuanced topic, which means that there are vocla minorities who make it their entire personality to distill these things down to simple memes and argue on the internet about it with each other.

To be fair, the stream of bullshittery is so vast that it's very easy to miss one specific thing.

That's why I asked lol. The conversation around rape has been pretty active this week in the news from multiple stories.

I thought you were referring to some dude whining about feminism, but it's actually about rape? I'm with the first guy, I got no clue what you are referring to.

There's been a lot of whining from the manosphere about the Cornell rape case that has been in the news a lot the last two weeks.

Ah, there's my problem. I tuned out of the manosphere long before I'd even heard it referred to as such.

I remember watching some youtube channels around that time who went hard into it over time and they became progressively more off putting to me until I dropped them.

Shame, as I know some actually mentioned real problems faced by the working class initially and that is what I was there for. Then more and more of this anti-feminism bullshit starts appearing for some reason and I lost interest.

Haven't heard about this until now so this was initially rather confusing. Maybe its a bigger thing in the US.

Definitely bigger here in the US. There was a congressional candidate who was raped while she was campaigning recently as well that's hit the news cycle this week, too.

There's a lot of rape here.
