    She emmigrated from Slovenia and immigrated to US. Same motion, different frame of reference.

    But as descriptive linguistics, you can say she immigrated to America from Slovenia. So she immigrated from Slovenia. Nobody in America is likely to call her a "Slovenian emigrant."
