Even $66 is too much and I assume that's after they milked him for some type of insurance.

Even $1 would be too much for life saving medicine.

For real. This young man had decades of value left in him. Real value, not the shit bosses extract. Hands helping a person that fell, a kind word of support to a friend, a meal shared with the less fortunate. I could go on. For years. Even if he went out and got killed in a car accident the next day the sunk cost is fucking worth it to save him today.

And they killed him because that money today was worth more than a lifetime of his tomorrows. I really fucking hate the healthcare industry lmao, goddamned vampires

I pay like 10 euro for my inhaler out of pocket and it lasts me a few months and that's only because I don't have the optional extra insurance (that's also like 15 euro a month), I have absolutely no idea how americans aren't burning shit down.

Propaganda. They tell us taxes will be much higher and it takes months to see a doctor.

We aren't burning shit down mostly I think because we don't want to get murdered by police or go to prison for life. For most people in the US you feel like you're being watched and listened to every second, and it's rare an officer would be charged with a crime if they wanted to kill us. Right now it seems easier to suffer and watch our family get ill and die unnecessarily than kill yourself doing some adventurism, most people around here probably agree shit is fucked up but they are afraid of losing their job and insurance if they have it so they don't step out of line.

People probably were able to protest and burn a few things down in 2020 because jobs and schools were closed, a lot of people stopped paying rent where I was, there wasn't the same threat of your life being destroyed for missing work at the time.
