Reminds me of this story: Hemingway was a regular at Sloppy Joe’s in Key West. One day, the owner comes in and tells everyone that his landlord has raised the rent and that Sloppy Joe’s was now moving across the street. “Everyone grab a chair or table and let’s go!” he says. Hemingway goes into the bathroom and retrieves the urinal (a copper trough) and takes it to his house. When asked why he does this, he answers that he figures he’s put more money in it than anyone else so it’s his.

The urinal is serves as a planter. You can still see it today if you visit his house.
