"Artificial Intelligence" isn't even a meaningful phrase anyway! It lumps together multiple technologies, inaccurately describes what they do, and obscures their actual function. We did just fine, calling these things Large Language Models or Machine Learning, for years.

Calling them "AI" is pure vaporware. It's like when those handleless segways for popular about a decade ago, and people started calling them "hover boards". Literally not what they are, but it made the companies making them seem more innovative than they actually were
