A pretty common link to make, for conservatives. They think being queer is unnatural, but some of them also love their kids and are unable to think of them as a morally corrupt "other" like their propaganda teaches them. The way to resolve that tension is to conclude that their child's "deviation" isn't the fault of the child, but rather was "forced upon them" through sexual abuse.
