[–] Diplomjodler3@lemmy.world 12 points 1 day ago (1 child) Just a few minor things left to do: Make booster reusable Make ship reusable Make ship have useful payload Make everything reliable So yeah, practically done permalink fedilink source hideshow 1 child comment replies: [–] threelonmusketeers@sh.itjust.works [S] 2 points 1 day ago Make booster reusable Eh, they've already reused v2 boosters, and with a soft splashdown of a v3 booster, it seems like this isn't too far off. Make ship have useful payload Well, Starship Flight 14 was simultaneously Starlink Group 31-1, so I think that counts in terms of operational payloads. Make ship reusable This is the one I'm most worried about. I feel like we'll only have a good sense of this after the first ship catch and they get to inspect a flown ship that hasn't been soaking in seawater for several weeks. Make everything reliable I think this will just come with time as they ramp up the cadence, like it did with Falcon 9. permalink fedilink source parent
