When you log into your bank account, how do your savings look? Probably not as good as you’d like. It always seems like an uphill battle to build (and keep) a decent amount in savings.

But what if your car breaks down, or you have a sudden medical bill?

We’re not judging — we don’t roll like that. We’re here to help. We just don’t want you to have to sell those Elvis-Presley-signed velvet pants you inherited just to pay some lousy plumbing bill. Those pants are sweet.

Try these tips to get the ball rolling, and start building up your savings so you can breathe a little easier. Turn Your Junk Mail Into Cash

You know all those flyers and advertisements you get in the mail each day? The ones you never wanted but have no idea how to opt out of?

Well, you can turn them into cash.

The Small Business Knowledge (SBK) Center is a market research company that wants to get a peep inside your mailbox. Join its consumer panel, and start shoveling that junk mail into a postage-paid envelope and, at the end of each week, send it over to the SBK Center.

No, you won’t be rolling in extra cash, but you can earn up to $20 every six to 10 weeks. Ask This Company to Get a Big Chunk of Your Debt Forgiven

A company called National Debt Relief could convince your lenders to simply get rid of a big chunk of what you owe. No bankruptcy, no loans — you don’t even need to have good credit.

If you owe at least $15,000 in unsecured debt (credit card debt, personal loans, medical bills, etc.), National Debt Relief’s experts will build you a monthly payment plan. As your payments add up, they negotiate with your creditors to reduce the amount you owe. You then pay off the rest in a lump sum.

On average, you could become debt-free within 24 to 48 months. It takes less than a minute to sign up and see how much debt you could get rid of. Set Up Direct Deposit — Pocket Up to $400

When you set up an eligible direct deposit with SoFi Checking and Savings (Member FDIC), you’ll get up to $400 straight into your account. No… really. Just a nice little bonus for making a smart switch.

Why switch? With SoFi, you can earn up to 3.30% APY on savings and 0.50% on checking, plus a 0.90% APY boost for your first six months when you set up direct deposit or keep $5,000 in your account. That’s up to 4.20% APY total. Way better than letting your balance chill at 0.40% APY.

There are no fees. No gotchas. Make the move to SoFi and get paid to upgrade your finances. Stop Paying Your Credit Card Company

If you have credit card debt, you know. The anxiety, the interest rates, the fear you’re never going to escape… but a website called AmONE wants to help.

If you owe your credit card companies $100,000 or less, AmONE will match you with a low-interest loan you can use to pay off every single one of your balances.

The benefit? You’ll be left with one bill to pay each month. And because personal loans have lower interest rates (AmONE rates start at 6.49% APR), you’ll get out of debt that much faster.

It takes less than a minute and just 10 questions to see what loans you qualify for.

@dead@hexbear.net please tell me some other place this would belong other than slop. This is a serious question and example of why we can't just limit it to blog posts and social media.

I'm wondering why you're posting this at all. It's an actual advertisement website. When I try to load the page from different IP addresses, the page is entirely different. This is like a 2000s era myspace ad. Each link on the article has referral codes to different credit cards and shit because the website owner gets kickbacks.

If you tried to post this "article" on any subreddit, they'd probably just ban you from reddit to be honest. This is bot behavior, not even in a metaphor sense, like this is the type of thing that actual web robots post.

Is the goal here to honeypot hexbear users? Why not just ask the admins to email the user database to the FBI?

Should be obvious what it is I guess I should remove the link I was just curious what kind of insidious shit was being peddled to people increasingly desperate in what is looming as one of the biggest economic crashes in US history.

It's not news, and it's not like it's different from many of the other shit posted on the site, it's kinda messed up to imply that I am a bot. I included the relevant text so people could see what I saw that pissed me off, and a link because it seems so outrageous I figured I would provide a source.

Also that is just how every article on any site serves ads. Of course its garbage. That's why it's in slop.

Accusing me of "trying to honeypot" people is pretty low honestly. Do you think I posted this here thinking anyone would actually read that shit and decide it was worth anything other than mockery?

The tone of the last line of my comment is sarcasm, banter, light teasing.

This "article" is not an article. It literally says advertisement at the top of the page. Literally the top right corner of the page says "Advertisement Disclosure". It's not an article, it's an advertisement.

    https://archive.ph/iecTP (archive of your link)

I was trying to come up with more jokes but while eating noodles but idk if they would land.

You know how like sometimes you're scrolling a website and some box pops up and says "There's hot singles in your area waiting to talk to you! click here now!" What if there aren't actually hot singles waiting to talk to me?
