My physical therapist told me “movement is medicine” and I hate that she was right, because a lot of the time it feels like shit to do!

I had messed up arches when I was little and the doctors didn't want to do anything about it for the longest time. At like 25 I get a script for PT for really bad back pain and learn that APPARENTLY I have to entirely relearn how to walk because I basically built the entire fucking house on a crocked foundation and now my back is fucked. It's been over 10 years since then and I still haven't fully corrected my pelvic tilt and my back still hurts if I walk more than like ten minutes at a time.

I’m sorry, that sounds awful to deal with! PT didn’t really ‘fix’ me either, I still struggle with the pain I went in for, but the exercises and stretches they taught me at least tend to help me keep the worst of it away. I hope the exercises they’ve got you doing give you some relief!

  • They definitely do help yeah, they're the only reason I've gotten to where I am. My pain used to be a lot worse and I used to be a lot more limited in what I could do. I need to be a little more consistent about them, but that's mostly just an "It's been hectic" thing. I can usually do a set here or there in random places throughout the day. That's usually how I'd get them in because they're all just random bodyweight exercises which is nice.
