It's just I get so bored stuck at home all day apart from hospital appointments, and what else am I supposed to do? But it's so stressful, why is everyone so horrible there? Even seeing other people get bullied stresses me out. I always tell myself I won't look at it any more, but then I always find myself browsing it again.

This time someone asked a simple question: Why is a fictional character in this book so poor when he has a full time job as a teacher? A couple of people explained that teachers are badly paid in the USA but like 400 other people jumped in with rude nasty comments to the OP about how stupid they are for not knowing american teachers are underpaid. The OP had clearly stated they weren't american and was just asking a simple question.

On another subreddit someone was waxing lyrical about how poverty is a choice, if you're poor, you've chosen that and the government should not give benefits to anyone as it just encourages them to be lazy.
