This may sound controversial, but why not find some newyork rats, and drop them in Israel? Give them a real problem. But then we should also know that clean rats can be good pets and also good food. I'm vegan so I can't but in Mexico city they had people cooking rats and selling them in tacos and nobody could tell difference. Rats could be both a pest and a blessing at the same time.
