why you think MGT in particular

Liberals love to judge a book by its cover even though they'd never admit it.

Dubya was as dumb as a bag of hammers but he was smart enough to as often as possible use the words speechwriters wrote for him. Libs would never, ever call him an intellectual. But his idiotic Bushisms are long forgotten. Plus libs always fall into the trap of thinking somebody like Dubya is decent and reasonable because he sounded that way. Libs remember the carefully constructed façade of words and the presentation. It make a very bad analogy - they forget to read the "book" itself.

I love to call him Dubya. And it amuses me how very rare it is for older liberals to call him that. Even on social media where people count every character they might use a nickname like "Bush the Younger". Why not use "Dubya"? It's shorter, simpler, and funnier.

The online lib comments about MTG I saw - seemed to show a seriously hostile level of parasocial relationship. I can think of four reasons off the top of my head. In no particular order... One, She's a southerner so she's sub-standard in my many of their minds. Two, I think libs would say she's trashy if not white trash. Three to put it mildly - she didn't bother to put up an intellectual façade. Four - she was a rabid Trump supporter.

I think they see her as dumb, rule, hostile, and irredeemable. At one (or was it two?) of Biden's State of the Union speeches she stood up and yelled. I can't remember because who gives a shit. But libs really think that stuff like "lack of civility" matters. How dare she!

Tbh I just don't think your average American remembers any given person or event long enough for any of that to matter. American politicians literally put on a new costume and make up a new life story and everyone's just like "yep, this is who he's always been now"
