No the French invented photovoltaics. Then it was an American who made the first commercial solar panel and Bell labs of the US made the modern solar panel design that we use today. China has been involved in development along the way, but they didn't start things. Their biggest contribution has been making them cheap and affordable.
China has had plenty of innovations that are incredible. Sodium Ion battery technology is largely a Chinese development with others contributing. There are plenty of things that China has made and they should be proud of. They also steal other's ideas and try to pull a "I made this" meme. That doesn't mean they are unique in this manner, though.
American AI companies are thieves, too. The entirety of AI development is bullshit made on the back of human innovation. It's an abomination. Multiple things can be true. You clearly have an agenda with your whataboutism arguments
