This obviously was wrong already a century ago, large parts of the working class were always made up of POC and women. In fact, the straight white man that ivory tower liberals imagine the prototypical worker to be is not only much less likely to be working class than any member of a marginalized group, he is also much more likely to be an ideologically committed right winger. Tailing him is attacking the enemy at their strength instead of their weakness while throwing the own base under the bus.
