I've looked closer into this now, particularly the website of D-A-Ch gegen Hass, the org ran by this guy, looked at who publicly supports them, how and where they are covered in the press and what their stated goals are. It's both intriguing and sickening. Katz is extremely well-connected, especially in Bavarian politics and media, which are both reactionary af and a steady source of funds due to the wealth of the free state. He is specifically briefing cops and judges to make sure his policies get applied on the streets and in the courtrooms, he is working on a "cross-border monitoring network together with Israel" and he is lobbying to outright illegalize anything that can be construed as "denying Israel's right to exist", which expressly includes calls for boycott. Guy Katz is actively fighting to make any and all solidarity with Palestinians a crime, and he's got the backing of Bavaria's minister president Markus Söder, the main Jewish lobbying organizations, the federal antisemitism czar Felix Klein, a ton of celebrities, the federal state secretary of culture Wolfram Weimer and to top it all off he's got a well-oiled PR campaign as well, including the freely downloadable stickers. I saw one of those on a car just last week. It creeps me the fuck out how close to home this all hits.
