Damn, you must’ve been fortunate with job placement. Wtf. Half of my 20s was jobless, not for a lack of trying.

    I got my good paying job at 24 and saved most of my money, but as a single person I spent $20k/yr total cost of living while living in a room in someone's basement and a lot of that was just takeout and beer honestly.

    I'm sorry but if you've been in the workforce for 10 years and are ready to retire soon you're either doing some really bad math, are a prodigy making 7 figures since the age of 24, inherited money from someone else, or are planning to live off beer in someone's basement for the next 50 years

    I think 78k was my salary back then, the stock market has done really well the last decade. $1.5 million is the amount I plan to retire with.
