If 'pro-Palestine' leaders can see 3 years of genocide and still condemn the resistance before or after condemning the perpetrators - they are not going to save us from fascists.

The NYPD under Mamdani escorted Netanyahu to the UN and is having protestors arrested (including Hannah Einbinder and Susan Sarandon) and he’s (Netanyahu) still going after him. You have to laugh at this point, no meaningful antizionism anywhere in power.

But don't worry. He posted a new viral PR video so he's definitely 'resisting' Zionists.

    That doesn't mean he's controlled opposition, it means he's a social-democrat who's experiencing the limitations of what you can do within the structures of the capitalist state. This is why Marx and Lenin empasize the necessity of breaking down the old state, and building a new one.

    The police of the old, bourgeois state will not simply accept a progressive leadership, it will continue to act against the interests of the working class, whoever their ofiicial boss is.

    A similar thing just happened in Germany: Die Linke won the Berlin state elections. Their platform included that the growth of the police budget should stop, and there are now multiple newsstories going around filled with anekdotes about how they won't be able to do their job under a Die Linke administration.

    This behaviour is to be expected of the police in these circumstances, it does not mean Mandani is secretly controled by the CIA.

    being a social-fascist makes you controlled opposition. regardless of whether he has a cia handler or just a dnc handler, mamdani materially supports the continuation and expansion of empire, including in palestine. an fdr for the modern day.

    Having a handler is actually quite a crucial element in determining if someone is controlled opposition or not. If you want to argue against social-democrats, please do so, but you should not allow yourself to be content with a level of analysis that doesn't go further than just slapping any insult on everyone from any political current we disagree with. Marxism has the tools to construct much better critiques, which will also help you much more in popularising our message.

    He doesn't even have a DNC handler. Have you watched the news recently? The democratic party is behaving completely hysterical because some social-democrats are winning in their primaries.

    okay, well then the word is social-fascist. he absolutely does have contact with the dnc, which is why he is allowed to run in their party. the fact that some democrats kind of don't like their coworkers doesn't render them materially enemies. for the same reason that republicans run on moderate democrats being communists, moderate democrats run on social democrats being communists.

    i don't think you were arguing against this but i do think it deserves special attention. the reason social democrats are social-fascists is that they materially support and uphold imperialism. lenin notes in chapter 6 of Imperialism that one of the chief drivers of imperialism is the need to provide stability at home. in order to do that, you need some mechanism to transfer superprofits to people who otherwise would be rioting in the streets. social democrats provide that mechanism. their job is to force the capitalists to take their medicine. and to bring it back to the above, "of course they meet in rooms"

    That's the German SPD, Mandami hasn't murdered any communists that I know of. As 2026-marxist, I'm not responsible for a famine in Ukraine in 1932, and he's not responsible for that. In the current constellation of forces, Mandami is certainly an ally.

    You'd have to argue that this rendition of social democracy is categorically different in a way that would not likely lead towards collaboration with empire. If so, how?

    Mamdani did see if there was a legal way for the NYPD to arrest Hitleryahoo, but there is not. Curious to know what your next step would be after he's in custody at a neighborhood NYPD precinct.

    There was. He could arrest Netanyahu for crimes against Americans which Israel killed.

    Netanyahu would then be handed over to Federal police, which could free him. But Mamdani would have kept his promise.

    He did not.
