    Presumably they get out of the car? In a drive-thru restaurant, you don't get out.

    As the other person below me wrote, that’s the process in NJ and Oregon. So this person has something else in mind. Maybe drive through without stopping or something. Drive through with the door open? Just openly spray gasoline at a car like a squirt gun and have gutters send the fuel to the tank? I have so many questions!!!!!!

    Depends on the country/area. Most western countries it's DIY, either paying at the pump or inside to staff.

    Personally I prefer this because I feel lazy af otherwise. Though, it's quite nice in Japan because they often do the windows and stuff while pumping. But places like Greece, you just sit there awkwardly wanting to stretch your legs but they're confused if you get out.
