Cute! But darn, I only briefly see the colors of the buttons, then they quickly fade.

    You mean when it first "turns on"? It goes through an ascending sequence (the "boot-up"), then enters the game menu, where the currently selected item blinks. Unless there is a bug somewhere; it's working fine on my end, though.
