Just like that? I'm way behind on the tech and it's always been spooky to me. Any good reference for getting started/picking services?

    I personally use AirVPN as they allow port forwarding, but I also use my NAS as a seed box.

    Docker -> Gluetun + qBittorrent

    I have a home server running docker. I have a docker container for Gluetun and qBittorrent. Gluetun connects to my VPN provider and provides a tunnel interface for the BitTorrent client to use

    In my country they need to be able to prove who sat at the computer and did the sailing. If I ever get that famous extortion letter sent home to me I will use it as toilet paper.

    Also, Meta got away with pirating terabyte of books so as far as I am concerned it's completely legal in the eyes of US authorities to sail the high seas.

    There’s regular updates to the best one so you may have to do a web search to find some privacy community/subreddit that has a comparison chart of some sort.

    Last I looked Proton was popular, but I never trusted them because they seem like they want to be google. I went with Mulvad, which is a great VPN but one of the CEOs just came out as donating to nazis so I don’t even know any more.

    Yeah, that's how I do it. Download the the VPN app (Mullvad for me), buy some time on your account, switch it on, and carry on just like before.

    Easy to set up and I've never had a problem.
