    http://www.sleepwithmepodcast.com/

YMMV, but it worked for me from day one. I read about it on a post on the content aggregator site which shall not be named.

I opened the link right there at work, started playing it, and thought , "t This guy is so boring I feel myself falling asleep already!"

The first night I listened, I was asleep before the intro was done, but then when the episode ended, I woke up. The next night I loaded all the episodes, but then when my alarm went off the next morning, I kept snoozing the alarm and falling asleep again. Finally, I started it with a sleep timer to stop it playing a few minutes before my alarm would go off.

I think that was about 10 years ago.

Occasionally, when life is really, really bad, I still have nights where I have trouble getting to sleep, but that's a once or twice a year thing now. I used to get less than 4 hours of sleep every night, with about 1 night per week where I would get no sleep at all.

    It isn't for everyone.

If you aren't a doctor you shouldn't be suggesting normal bodily function = diabeetus.

Still something to consider. Apparently people think granola isn't loaded with sugar and becomes healthy when not pressed into bar form. But please, if you're living closer to the condition than I, go off king and or queen

I think that you should probably ask clarifying questions, granola is sugary but it's totally normal to be tired after loading up on carbs. It's when it pushes into extreme exhaustion that you should be concerned. Eating a bowl of sugary granola and ending up tired afterwards is normal, carb load + sugar rush/crash.

That being said, sleep deprivation also contributes to a higher risk of diabetes - from your cells being less sensitive to insulin (resistant), raising levels of ghrelin (hungry hormone), lowering levels of leptin (hormone that makes you feel full). It also fucks with your pancreas.

All in all, everyone should be careful about sugar intake/beetus - but a multitude of factors can contribute to it. Now if they're eating an entire bag of granola every night... yeah I'd find a different way to load up on carbs.
