Oh god, that guy.
I just got done with a way-too long conversation with him that's really not worth reading, but I'll summarize.
He claimed he wanted to "abolish states" while at the same time talking about how it was super important for the US to spend so much on the military in order to counter the "threat" of the DPRK. Which he even admitted wasn't a serious threat. He also claimed that the DPRK "invaded" and "attacked" South Korea and cited a story where a couple soldiers crossed the border then left in response to warning shots, and said, "If you don’t think that is an attack, then the US has never attacked anyone. Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, Korean, Iraq again, whatever."
He also said:
I think the most likely course of action to prevent conflict is to make individual people uninterested in conflict. Most people already aren’t. Soldiers need to specifically be trained to kill, because that’s not something the majority of people want to do.
If the general says “fight!” And the foot soldier says “no, I think I’d like a nap”, does the war happen?
When I pointed out the blatant contradiction between saying that while arguing for the absolute necessity of US military intervention in Korea, he justified it by saying that he didn't want to actually use force, he just wanted to intimidate them with the threat of force. I pointed out that literally, fucking Ghenghis Khan preferred that people simply be intimidated into compliance than to have to use force.
At that point he just outright said that he supported Western imperialism because he sees it as less bad than "Eastern Imperialism." He also wrote off concerns about the US being overextended, calling it, "Standard .ml discourse" and saying "Let me know when Ukraine the US collapses!"
One of the most transparently imperialist "anarchists" I've ever encountered on the fediverse, and let me tell you, that's a high bar.
