The D community Discord already went through it thanks to AI boosters there (especially user Serg Gini), and I often get the suggestion to use my art skills to make "non-slop" stuff with the AI.

One small problem: The AI is not designed for that.

GenAI is essentially a form of elite projection. The tech elite "builds" by commanding (prompting) engineers, designers, sometimes artists, to make their ideas come to life. And people who also are at least fine with AI see people like Steve Jobs like engineers, if not the sole creators themselves. GenAI supposed to bring the elite's idea of "building" to the masses, and those people don't understand why artists don't just type their ideas into the slop making machines.
