I have this kg of beans I bought cheep at the supermarket for experimenting with moka, i could never get something other than "Ashe tray" flavor out of it. I also tried a French press with it the other day and it was undrinkable. This weekend I made it as cold brew and it turned actual good 👍

    Oh good! I’m glad you found where it shines. I’ve found a lot of beans are only good with certain brew styles and really don’t work with others. I mostly just drink espresso and pour over these days but if I have a bag of beans that don’t work well in either of those, I also try them in moka pot and french press before writing them off as exclusively a milk drink bean. Sometimes I’m pleasantly surprised.
