I don't think it's that, kids are just bored. The education system is rudimentary and outdated and boring; I learned pretty much everything through self study. School was never useful for me. Cursive is pretty useless as well; I wish I was just taught to write in Japanese. I don't think uneducated people is what anyone wants either, complacent and compliant people is what is sought after. I don't think anyone is looking for a woopsies, that 200k machine broke, or the fire suppression system turned on, etc. Oh yeah, I worked in education, I tried to make a change and failed.
